CAISS has over the last 49 years existed to reachout and be available to those who find themselves in difficult circumstances holding out hope to some and encouraging young people to dream of and aspire towards a brighter tomorrow. We have cherished memories of the past and to keep alive some which continue to ignite us within; drawing us to do more of the little things we did growing up in this City of Joy.

Calcutta spells magic and we hope it casts a spell on each one of us who intend to celebrate our being unique in this our own Anglo-Indian way.

There is nothing like being in Calcutta : the sounds, the sights and the suppers all bring back memories of a Good Old Calcutta.

Good ol’ Calcutta Memories will be four days of celebrating Calcutta and its wonderful people, and its memories which will definitely warm our hearts. This extended weekend has been put together keeping in mind the old and the young alike.

We attempt to relive memories through words, music, friends and memories familiar to all of us who live or have lived in this wonderful City of Joy. While today comes with its challenges, yesterday keeps us rooted in all that we hold so dearly in our hearts.

Calcutta’s now Kolkata’s unique mix of Cultures and Festivals are for everyone to celebrate. This is what makes the city so special.To be able to celebrate this uniqueness in the city we love is all the more enthralling.
